Start with a mountain of your favorite ice cream flavors, then pile on the toppings: sprinkles, chocolate sauce, gummy bears, and more! What wild and wacky ingredients do you add? There’s been a HUGE mix-up at the pretzel factory and the pretzels are popping out of the machine in weird flavors! And the worst part is that no one discovered it before they were shipped to the stores. Write or draw (or both!) a story about what happens when different people taste these unexpected flavors.
Here are some things to think about if you need some inspiration:
Writing Prompt for Kids Pretend you’re one of God’s amazing animals, munching on your favorite breakfast food near the tomb where Jesus was laid to rest. All of a sudden, something super special starts happening at the tomb. The big stone in front of the tomb starts moving, all on its own! Your heart starts racing as you watch in amazement. Then, out of the tomb comes Jesus, shining brighter than the sun!
Now it’s time to grab your pencils, crayons — whatever you love to write or draw with — and share your story!  Oh no! The zoo gates are closed, and you’re locked in! And even worse ... the sun is disappearing. You wander along the shadowy paths, watching the animals stir under the moonlight. You soon realize you can understand the animals and that they are talking to each other, sharing secrets. You stumble across an animal buddy to be with you as you continue your after-dark adventure in the zoo. Soon you both realize there is a big challenge you must overcome. Write (or draw) about your experience.

Hey there, future astronauts and space adventurers! Imagine you've just zoomed off into space in your cool spaceship and found a brand-new planet that no one else knows about. It's time to get super creative and dream up your very own planet. Think about it—plants that taste like your favorite ice cream, animals that chat like your best friend, and people with blue polka dots! Grab your pencils, crayons, or whatever you like to create with, and let's make some out-of-this-world magic happen. |
