Author Visits and Story Adventures
Welcome to Story Adventures with Cindy Lynn Sawyer!
I believe stories should do more than sit on a shelf—they should jump off the page, wiggle into kids’ imaginations, and point their hearts toward something bigger. That’s why my author visits are more than a simple read-aloud. They’re interactive, hands-on adventures where boats set sail, raccoons learn lessons, and kids discover the joy of friendship and imagination.
Let’s join forces to dream up the perfect storytime adventure for your little explorers. Take a look below for a variety of elements you can mix and match for each adventure. And if you have something else in mind, I’d love to chat about it!

The Wonder Adventure Presentation with The Wonder of Under
Merging adventure with imagination.
Basic Presentation (30-40 minutes)
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV): “For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Connection: Faith often asks us to see with our hearts first. When Paxton learns that his imagination can lead him to “so much more,” he models this verse perfectly—reminding children that trusting God means looking beyond what’s visible and believing in His unseen wonders.

Stick Together Adventure Presentation with Remmy's Sticky Situation
Friends and forgiveness, wrapped in a sweet mystery.
Basic Presentation (30-40 minutes)
Ephesians 4:32: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you."
Connection: Just like Remmy learned that blaming others only made his heart feel heavy, we can discover that forgiveness sets our hearts free. When we say, “I’m sorry,” or forgive someone who hurt us, we are choosing love over anger — just like Jesus taught us.
