STAND Women's Self Defense
As an independent sales representative for Damsel in Defense, a company that sells women's self-defense products, I decided the best way to market myself and showcase the products would be to host a women's self-defense event. So, I partnered with local police officers and a local apartment complex and made this free event available to women in the community.
Skills I utilized included organizing, contact management, recruiting officers and volunteers, creating fliers and press releases and social media, a television interview and more. The event was well-received and I've had invitations from other apartment complexes to host the event.
